The versatile Neelix (Ethan Phillips), ship's cook and morale officer broadcasts a magazine program every day. Realising a talent... an investigative journalist, he discovers that Tom Paris (Robert Duncan McNeill) is planning to leave Voyager and follow a different destiny. He then discovers there may be a traitor on board...
Special Agent Matti
Oh, yeah.
If you've been paying attention over the past three or four episodes you'll have noticed that Tom has been somewhat disaffected. This is a special plot device whereby storylines are advanced over a period of time (aka a number of episodes) so that you get a greater reward for being a dedicated watcher.
Anyway, this is a really good episode with intrigue, gossip, spies, and Good morning, Voyager. That's enough of an enticement for me right there. TV is everywhere!
But the best part of this episode is that it weaves together several loose ends that have been wafting about the place: the traitor, Tom's disaffection, the increasingly powerful Kazon. (Did you like that little weaving/loose ends metaphor?) It's drama! Woo hoo!
