Seska (Martha Hackett) sends a message to Chakotay (Robert Beltran). She has given birth to their son. He is fine and healthy but he is in danger; the Kazon have threatened to take him away to raise him... a slave. Or is it a Kazon trap to seize the Federation ship?
Special Agent Matti
One of those bloody annoying cliff-hanger episodes where you have to wait until next season to find out what happens.
Oh, hang on. This is video. You only have to wait for someone to bring the tape back to the shop. In that case, you have some really tense writing, lots of drama, lots of excitement, definitely worth watching. There're also a few loose ends that get tidied up very nicely, thank you very much.
Voyager finally leaves Kazon dominated space, Seska finds out who the father of her child is (and it ain't Chakotay!), Code Blue, the EMH becomes a hero, Suder comes out of hiding and gets his just desserts (20th century style) and the crew make their first real friends in the Delta Quadrant: a race of Stone Age cave dwellers - wow!
What all this means is that Voyager can advance beyond the limitations imposed by the Caretaker. Yeehar! Adventure here they come!
PG (Low level violence, adult themes)
