Intelligence report

Well, they finally decided that an elfin being with undefined psychic powers and a history of bad hair was stretching the imagination just a little, as they get rid of Kes in this episode. They also introduce Seven of Nine as a regular cast member. All I will say is that Kes' hair just had to go.

This is a good episode that focuses on the Human drama rather than the macabre situation of the Borg. The ethical decisions and personal dilemmas are well written and performed. Jeri Ryan's drone is brilliant, she's worth watching all on her own. I predict big things for this character.

More than simply worth a look, The gift is compulsory viewing.
